Construction Begins for River Bend in Whitehorse


WHITEHORSE, YUKON--(Marketwired - Oct. 4, 2016) - The Ta'an Kwäch'än Council (TKC), Da Daghay Development Corporation (DDDC), along with the Government of Yukon, in partnership with the Government of Canada, and the City of Whitehorse, held a Partnership Celebration for the River Bend development in Whistlebend today.

"This is a proud moment for all Ta'an Kwäch'än citizens," Chief Kristina Kane of the Ta'an Kwäch'än Council said. "This is a significant project which has created new jobs for our citizens as promised, opened new doors for capacity development, all while providing new affordable housing for Ta'an Kwäch'än citizens."

Da Daghay is a major sponsor of the 2016 Cando Conference, which is being held in Whitehorse. As part of the conference, Da Daghay is hosting a Partnership Celebration to showcase their development.

Evergreen Homes and Construction was selected as the contractor for this development. Owner and Operator, Joe Glynn, is working with Da Daghay Development Corporation to ensure that TKC citizens and TKC owned businesses are provided employment and contract opportunities during the construction of River Bend.
