Consulting magazine Editor & Publisher and Kennedy Consulting Research & Advisory Managing Director Speak Among Business Leaders at Microsoft Event

Joe Kornik and Tom Rodenhauser Will Address the "State of the Consulting Market" at Microsoft's Service Industries Virtual Summit on May 3

PETERBOROUGH, NH--(Marketwire - Apr 20, 2012) - With the worst of the economic downturn in the rear-view mirror, consulting firms, like many companies, are turning their attention back to growth. With this in mind, Joe Kornik, Editor and Publisher of Consulting magazine, and Tom Rodenhauser, Managing Director, Advisory Services, Kennedy Consulting Research & Advisory, will leverage proprietary Kennedy research and data to define the opportunities ahead during their presentation: The State of the Consulting Market? Examining the Opportunities and Trends that will Drive Growth in the Future.

This session, part of the Service Industries Virtual Summit, hosted by Microsoft Dynamics, takes place Thursday, May 3, from Noon to 3:00 pm ET and will include an overview of the current market, emerging trends affecting both providers and clients, and insights from consulting leaders on best practices.

"Buoyed by pent-up client demand for consulting services, firms are cautiously optimistic about the current and future state of the marketplace," according to Mr. Kornik. Mr. Rodenhauser adds, "However, unlike the high-growth periods that followed previous downturns, growth this year and in the near future will remain modest and there's still plenty of uncertainty to go around."

Still, both maintain that -- against this uncertainty -- there are plenty of positive signs and pockets of strong opportunity.

Kornik and Rodenhauser will join distinguished speakers from such companies as The Corporate Executive Board, American Association of Management Consulting Firms, and McGraw-Hill, among others for the online event.
