Consumer Cellular Relocates Corporate Headquarters More Than Doubling Current Square Footage

$620 Million Mobile Service Provider Expands Footprint as It Moves Toward $1 Billion in Revenue by 2018

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Apr 4, 2016) - Consumer Cellular, the mobile carrier with the highest overall customer satisfaction according to Nielsen Mobile Insights, will move its corporate headquarters as the company plans for future growth in the Portland area. The $620 million mobile service provider will, starting in July, reside at 12123 and 12447 SW 69th Ave. in Tigard, with the new space offering approximately two and a half times the square footage of its current facility.

Consumer Cellular's new 82,140-square-foot headquarters is more than 50,000 square feet larger than its current space, and will house all departments, including marketing, retail, billing, human resources, accounting and customer service. Staff capacity will double, with space for the company to take on 250 additional employees. The company will maintain their current 50,000-square-foot warehouse, also located in Tigard as well as their call centers in Phoenix, Arizona and Redmond, Oregon.

Consumer Cellular, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, has maintained 30 percent growth year-over-year by focusing on boomers and seniors. It plans to exceed one billion in revenue by 2018, and in January topped Consumer Reports' customer satisfaction survey, an honor it has received five times over the past several years.
