Consumers Invited to "Share the Love" and Decide Winner in Reality Show Battle

American Express and JetBlue Airways to Broadcast Interactive Program on Flights Beginning March 1; Two Families Battle in Rewards Challenge Powered by the JetBlue Card From American Express; Charities Benefit From Tasks

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 22, 2006 -- Two families put their fate in consumer and JetBlue passengers' hands this month as they duke it out for a year's worth of travel on JetBlue. The two families -- the Loh's from Los Altos, CA, and the Brock's of Healdsburg, CA -- star in an American Express and JetBlue Airways-created reality program, "Share the Love: A Rewards Challenge Powered By The JetBlue Card from American Express," that captures their experiences as they participated in a two-day cross-country competition. The winning family will be determined by the popular opinion of viewers who can view the program on all JetBlue flights or online at www.jetbluecard.com. Consumers can vote online from March 1 - April 30, 2006 for their favorite family based on the families' innovativeness, charity and teamwork.

Throughout the competition, the families used the purchasing power and Cardmember benefits of the JetBlue Card from American Express to complete tasks to earn Award Dollars for flights back home. Each unique and fun task challenged the families to use their creativity and teamwork to benefit New York and Los Angeles charities, such as the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana, the firefighters memorial in Hollywood, Dress for Success® and the Big Apple Circus.

The winning "Share the Love" family will be awarded a year's worth of travel on JetBlue. The second-place family will receive a prize of 40,000 Award Dollars, equivalent to 200 TrueBlue® points or round-trip travel for two on JetBlue.

"We wanted to provide an innovative way to showcase the JetBlue Card from American Express, and give back to the communities in which we work and live, thus 'Share the Love,'" said Judy Teeven, Vice President, Strategic Alliances and Cobrands for American Express. "The JetBlue Card provides consumers a great way to earn TrueBlue points, outside of flying, and is a smart way for consumers to earn their way to future travel and to enjoy the wonderful JetBlue experience."

"Our customers have fun using the JetBlue Card from American Express, and we wanted to tell their story in a fun way," said Andrea Spiegel, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for JetBlue Airways. "As you'll see in the 'Share the Love' program, our customers find that earning points for free travel is easy and convenient, and JetBlue makes it easy to redeem those points for free travel."

American Express and JetBlue launched this innovative, interactive marketing program as an entertaining and engaging way to raise awareness of the benefits and value of the JetBlue Card and drive consumers to the web. The "Share the Love" concept was created because American Express wanted to leverage the fact that JetBlue flyers love entertainment, use the DIRECTV channel on their flights and are also frequent website users.

About American Express and JetBlue Airways

JetBlue and American Express have enjoyed a strong partnership since JetBlue's launch in 2000. In December 2004, American Express added JetBlue to its Membership Rewards® program enabling enrolled Cardmembers to transfer points directly into the TrueBlue® program for travel with the airline. The partnership between JetBlue's TrueBlue flight gratitude program and the Membership Rewards program exceeded the one-year goal within the first three months. In July 2005, both companies announced an extension of their partnership launching a co-brand credit card, the JetBlue Card from American Express. The Card provides consumers the only way to earn TrueBlue Award Dollars outside of flying.
