Continewity LLC Launches 'URGENT' Initiative to Promote Better Governance

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - Dec 5, 2011) - Governance, productivity and strategy advisory firm Continewity LLC is launching a new awareness campaign entitled URGENT: Understanding Risk & Governance in an Era of No Trust.

With URGENT, the firm seeks to provoke a productive dialogue about the role of ethics within organizations as it provides cost-effective solutions under the whistleblowing regulations of Dodd-Frank Section 922, otherwise known as Rule 21F of the SEC Act of 1934 & and Section 23 of the Commodities Exchange Act (CEA). These rules award whistleblowers who expose a possible violation of federal securities laws that "has occurred, is ongoing, or is about to occur," and encourage insiders to bring tips directly to the SEC or CFTC before wrongdoing can be covered up by the regulated firm committing it. To avoid excluding the needs of non-regulated organizations, Continewity's URGENT initiative also addresses privately-held firms, governmental entities, foundations, hospitals and higher education.

According to Ahmad Abdul-Qadir, CPA, Continewity Managing Director:

"The simple concept behind the URGENT initiative is to confer faith that there are indeed professionals committed to improving the status quo. From criminal sexual allegations at Penn State & Syracuse to the implosion of a mega trading firm like MF Global, intelligent citizens have concluded that despite heaps of new regulations, we still face pervasive structural deficiencies. Our institutions -- public and private -- are experiencing a crisis of leadership, and citizens are demanding that directors and officers be transparent and accountable so that we can trust again."

Over the coming two months, the firm is delivering live seminars at locations around the US, webinars, and publishing a series of informative "thought papers." Continewity Director, Jose Rodriguez, states:

"Employees see whistleblowing stories on the news and they immediately want to know how it could benefit them. Meanwhile, corporate directors and officers seem to be taking the 'let's wait and see' approach. We hope companies take URGENT seriously, and contact us to help them be proactive, because if their employees are calling us first, then it might already be too late."
