Continuum and PepsiCo Announce Innovation Fellowship Program for Fall 2010

Accepting Applications for Six Fellowship Positions Until September 15, 2010

NEWTON, MA and PURCHASE, NY--(Marketwire - September 7, 2010) -  Continuum, a global innovation and design consultancy headquartered in Boston, and PepsiCo (NYSE: PEP), the world's largest portfolio of billion-dollar food and beverage brands, today announced a new Innovation Fellowship for six individuals interested in the process of creating transformative products, services and experiences.

PepsiCo's Innovation Fellows will be invited to work side-by-side with approximately 24 PepsiCo leaders in an 8-session innovation and design workshop lead by Continuum. Working in small, cross-disciplinary teams with Continuum coaches, workshop participants will develop actionable solutions to real-world design challenges driven by PepsiCo's short- and long-term strategic plans. The workshop series will culminate with participants presenting their work to members of PepsiCo's senior leadership team.

"Continuum is an expert in teaching the human-centered design process and we're thrilled to have six Innovation Fellows join in on this learning experience with our leadership team," said Zoe Feldman, senior scientist, global nutrition and health policy at PepsiCo. "We plan on choosing Fellows from a wide range of disciplines that will bring a valuable diversity of perspectives and expertise to our broader group."

"PepsiCo's Innovation Workshop promises to be a tremendously enriching experience for all participants," continued Dan Buchner, vice president of organizational innovation at Continuum. "We'll move from deep user-research, to strategic design, to rapid prototyping, and participants will learn firsthand an open-minded approach to problem-solving that gives them structured practice in getting back to the drawing board."

Continuum's Innovation Workshop at PepsiCo will commence on October 15, 2010 and take place on Thursdays and/or Fridays for eight consecutive weeks. In addition to the opportunity to participate in the workshop, fellows will receive a $4,000 stipend. The workshop will be held in three different locations including New York City, PepsiCo's Purchase, New York campus, and Continuum's Boston office.

Continuum and PepsiCo will be accepting applications for PepsiCo's Innovation Fellowship Program until Wednesday, September 15. Individuals interested in receiving an application should contact innovationfellows@pepsico.com.
