Continuum Introduces Continuum Vault

Complete End-to-End Business Continuity for One Low Monthly Rate

WARRENDALE, PA--(Marketwire - Dec 12, 2011) - Continuum, the newly branded company formerly known as Zenith RMM, announces it has entered the backup and disaster recovery (BDR) market with the launch of "Continuum Vault." Continuum Vault provides complete end-to-end business continuity and features enterprise-class protection, instant virtualization, cloud-based replication and recovery, and full monitoring and management support -- all for one low fixed monthly price per protected server or desktop.

As the leading provider of intelligent, resolution-oriented management software for managed services providers (MSPs), the addition of Continuum Vault to its product roster means the company can now present a single, integrated platform that offers full problem resolution and full business continuity -- all backed by an industry-leading network operation center (NOC) for cost-effective 24/7 assistance.

"The delivery of both RMM and BDR functionality from a single, trusted provider is a terrific concept, one that we've been waiting to finally see well-executed," said Dr. Paul Rouse, President of Rouse Consulting Group, a Continuum MSP. "Continuum is the only company in the industry that can offer a fully managed environment, complete business continuity, seamless integration, and a simplified pricing model. We have already ordered 154 Continuum Vault units to replace the existing Zenith Infotech BDRs out there and to meet the pent up and unfulfilled demand that has been created over the last 2 months. We're looking forward to a long-term partnership with Continuum and to seeing future enhancements as they roll-out their 2012 product roadmap."

"We were inspired by our MSP partners to deliver the most cost-effective, fully managed BDR solution on the market," said Michael George, CEO of Continuum. "In entering the BDR marketplace, we not only wanted to make good on a promise to increase our managed services footprint, but also to create a solution that was purpose-built to the specifications of our customers. It was a staggering opportunity to break new ground and unify both disciplines, RMM and BDR, in the most optimal way."

Continuum Vault leverages industry-leading technology powered by Datto to ensure the protection and recovery of critical business data for small- and medium-size businesses. Backup snapshots are stored natively as virtual images allowing MSPs to gain almost instant access to any recovery point. Files, folders and even data in Microsoft Exchange or SharePoint can be restored in minutes -- not hours, days or weeks. And, since all data backed up by Continuum Vault is replicated offsite to the cloud, customers can have the peace of mind that business continuity will be maintained even in a disaster scenario. Continuum Vault is composed of four key components: Continuum Server/Desktop Vault, Continuum Vault BDR appliance, Continuum Cloud Vault, and Continuum Remote Monitoring and Management support. A summary of key features is below:

  • Continuum Server/Desktop Vault offers the ability to backup critical business data in highly configurable snapshots that are stored as virtual (VMDK) images on the Vault BDR appliance. Advanced de-duplication and compression are also included to minimize disk space.

  • Continuum Vault BDR Appliance is based on certified specifications and will ship directly from Datto or Tech Data. Several name brand options will be offered including HP, Dell and IBM. Granular snapshot and retention policies can be configured as the business requires. The virtual snapshots can be turned on in seconds to offer file-level restore, including support for both Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint. Scheduled screenshot verifications of backups are available and bare metal restores to dissimilar hardware are handled with ease.

  • Continuum Cloud Vault provides full cloud replication and instant off-site virtualization. All data is encrypted and stored in bicoastal SAS 70 Type II, HIPAA-compliant data centers. We will also have a data center in Canada.

  • Continuum Remote Monitoring and Management support is included for the Vault BDR appliance and is also available for all protected servers and desktops.

As part of this announcement Continuum is also introducing an Assure and Preserve Program for existing Zenith Infotech customers. With an order of Continuum Vault, the Assure and Preserve program includes both full software support for an existing Zenith Infotech BDR appliance for up to six months and a credit for any unused prepaid portion of an existing Zenith Infotech BDR or Mirror Cloud contract. This credit will be amortized over the 36-month contract. Continuum is the only company worldwide in the position to offer such a program, due to our history with Zenith Infotech and our familiarity with its backup products.

Reservations for Continuum Vault can be placed immediately. Partners that make a reservation now will be able to place orders starting in early January on a first-come, first-serve basis. As an additional sales incentive for Continuum Vault, any orders that are placed before June 30th, 2012, will include unlimited offsite cloud replication and storage for the life of the contract. Continuum Vault will begin shipping by the end of January 2012.
