Continuum Invites Southern California Design and Innovation Community to Its LA Studio Free Thought-Leadership Roundtable on May 18

Panel of Experts Will Explore the New American Dream

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - May 11, 2011) - Continuum, a global innovation and design consultancy, today announced that its Los Angeles Studio is hosting a free roundtable event for the Southern California design and innovation community on May 18 from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. The roundtable discussion features a panel of thought-leaders who will explore the topic of the New American Dream from a variety of perspectives.

"The American Dream is a simple concept loaded with meaning," said Jenny Liang, a strategist with Continuum's LA Studio. "From the first pilgrims seeking religious freedom, to the down and out looking for a more prosperous life -- few ideas have filled people with more passion or spurred more action than the American Dream. We expect this interactive panel to be a lively discussion about how recent events and new American expectations have changed the definition of the American Dream, and to explore the impact of these changes on consumer behavior and values."

Speakers for the event include:

  • Francis Beland, VP of Prize Development, X Prize Foundation will share insights on the topic of Crowdsourcing your American Dream
  • Harmon Leon, well-known Journalist, Humorist, and Author of The American Dream will discuss infiltrating the American dream
  • Strategist Jenny Liang and Director Alexandre Hennen of Continuum will share Continuum's perspective on, "The American Dream Now: Shifts in Consumer Value"
