Continuum Now Offering Its Remote Monitoring and Management Software and Services for the Mac Platform

Partners Can Take Advantage of the New Mac Agent and Continuum's Full Suite of Managed Services for the Mac Free of Charge for First Three Months

WOBURN, MA--(Marketwire - Jun 1, 2012) - Continuum, a leading provider of remote monitoring and management (RMM) and business continuity solutions, announced today that it will now provide RMM software and services for Mac computers. The Mac agent application, combined with Continuum's extensive network operations center (NOC) and the Virtual Service Desk, will allow partners to broaden the management of their customers' devices from familiar Continuum portal and LogMeIn interfaces.

We have already added over 20 Macs from our existing base," said Joseph Atkins, technical operations director at Seedspark LLC, a Charlotte, N.C.-based managed services provider (MSP) and one of Continuum's more than 3,300 MSP partners. "This has been a great way to tap new revenue from our established customer base and go after new customers where Mac is a key requirement."

Although Windows is still the primary operating system for businesses, Mac usage is catapulting its way into the workplace. According to Needham & Co., Mac's share of enterprise computer sales grew 43.8 percent during the third quarter of 2011, compared to overall enterprise PC growth of 4.8 percent for the period. Similar numbers have been posted for several quarters. When Continuum offered the beta version of its Mac agent on April 30th, numerous MSPs downloaded it within the first hour, quickly reaching several hundred downloads.

With Continuum's suite of services, partners can leverage the robust RMM capabilities as well as a dedicated Mac help desk. The Mac agent will be offered free of charge to Continuum partners for the first three months (June 1 through Aug. 31) and includes asset registration, disk space monitoring, and remote management capabilities with LogMeIn Pro. MSPs can also allow their clients to access their Mac with LogMeIn Pro via a simple web portal. With this kind of backing, partners will be able to confidently sell Mac support services and boost revenue opportunities.
