Convictions Under the Fisheries Act, Gaspe and Lower St. Lawrence

QUÉBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 13, 2010) - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, has released a list of Gaspé and Lower St. Lawrence fishers fined by Judge Luc Marchildon in May and June 2010 for various violations of the Fisheries Act.

The total amount of the fines imposed is $37,600, plus a forfeiture of the proceeds of the sale in the amount of $6,954. The offenders are:
