Convictions Under the Fisheries Act, Magdalen Islands


QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Dec. 17, 2014) - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, has released a list of fishermen convicted of various offences and fined under the Fisheries Act in the Magdalen Islands in November, 2014.

The fines imposed on the offenders total $1,050. The offenders are:

Marc-Olivier Cyr Failure to complete the three-step process required to harvest a seal. seal $100 2014-11-26
Robin Jomphe Possession of snow crab under the legal size limit. snow crab $650 2014-11-26
Louis Molaison Failure to contact a dockside monitoring company at least one hour before arriving at the dock. snow crab $300 2014-11-26
