Conway Chiropractic Center Announces "8 Weeks to Wellness" Program

CONWAY, AR--(Marketwire - Dec 8, 2011) - Hurley Chiropractic and Wellness Center announced the launch of its "8 Weeks to Wellness" program. The wellness and rehabilitation center is the first clinic in Arkansas to offer the program, which combines regular chiropractic adjustments with nutrition, exercise and lifestyle counseling. According to Conway chiropractor Dr. Hurley, the program is designed to enhance overall wellness, jump-start weight loss, reduce stress, boost the immune system and help patients not only live longer, but also live better.

Chiropractor Dr. Christine Hurley announced that Hurley Chiropractic and Wellness Center is now offering the "8 Weeks to Wellness" (8WW) program. The Conway chiropractic and rehabilitation center is the first Arkansas clinic to offer the program.

According to Dr. Hurley, 8 Weeks to Wellness is a unique program that focuses on helping the entire body achieve and maintain optimal health.

"This program is about much more than simply losing weight, exercising or managing stress," said Dr. Hurley. "While participants will enjoy all of these benefits, 8 Weeks to Wellness is special because it is a total health solution. It's not a fad diet and doesn't rely on trendy supplements. It's based on solid scientific research that gives participants the tools to not only live longer, but also to live better."

8 Weeks to Wellness helps to empower individual to take responsibility for their health by making positive life choices. A combination of adjustments, exercise, massage treatments, nutritional counseling and stress management help program participants actively take control of their health.

"8 Weeks to Wellness is all about getting healthy now, rather than waiting to treat a chronic health problem in the future," said Dr. Hurley. "For example, many patients wait until personal injuries or work injuries lead to chronic back pain before they ever visit a chiropractor. While adjustments are an important way to treat chronic pain, by staying properly aligned, we can prevent this pain from occurring in the first place. That's what 8 Weeks to Wellness is all about -- taking the right steps now to stay healthy for life."

Program participants will receive adjustments that restore alignment to the body. According to Dr. Hurley, proper alignment optimizes nerve communication with the brain, boosts immune function and reduces the risk for injury.

Participants will also receive massage treatments that help relax the body and center the mind. Massage therapy increases the flow of oxygenated blood in the body, which promotes internal healing for injured muscles and tissues. Massage also lowers cortisol levels while increasing endorphins, naturally boosting mood and reducing stress.

8 Weeks to Wellness participants will also receive nutritional counseling, learning how to eat to be healthy and naturally manage weight. The program also includes UltraMeal replacements, which according to Dr. Hurley, help the body burn fat while maintaining muscle mass.

"So many fad diets simply starve dieters, so that when people stop dieting, they gain all the weight right back," said Dr. Hurley. "8 Weeks to Wellness is different. The nutrition counseling teaches patients how to eat right for long-term weight management and how to read nutrition labels and make smarter food choices. It's all about learning to balance the body's nutrition needs."
