Conway Chiropractor Announces Success Treating Auto Accident Patients

CONWAY, AR--(Marketwire - Dec 6, 2011) - Hurley Chiropractic and Wellness Center announced that the practice has successfully provided treatment for Conway accident injury victims. The wellness care team of chiropractors, massage therapists and personal trainers offer a variety of treatments, including adjustments featuring ProAdjuster Technology for precise adjustments, muscle stimulation therapy, rehabilitation, HydroMassage, massage therapy and acupuncture. These treatments are designed to relieve chronic neck and back pain while also aimed at correcting the underlying cause of an accident injury.

Dr. Christine Hurley, a Conway chiropractor and owner of Hurley Chiropractic and Wellness Center, announced that her practice has successfully provided treatments for Conway accident injury victims. The practice treats auto injury victims for neck pain, back pain, and whiplash-related injuries.

Chiropractic adjustments are designed to restore alignment to the musculoskeletal system. This helps patients by providing long-term pain relief and correcting the underlying cause for their injury.

"Having recently been rear-ended in a car accident myself, along with three other staff members, I understand first-hand the importance of chiropractic adjustments for restoring alignment to the body," said Dr. Amanda Bledsoe. "For example, whiplash is a traumatic injury that can do serious damage to the cervical spine, leading to headaches, chronic pain and even difficulty concentrating."

"Unfortunately, many accident victims do not realize that even in a minor fender bender, serious damage may be done to the musculoskeletal system. Prompt diagnostic care and treatment is essential to preventing chronic pain."

Dr. Hurley urges all accident victims to receive a full examination following the crash. Studies show that many victims do not experience pain until weeks or even months after the accident, which means that scar tissue is already beginning to form.

"When scar tissue builds up in the joints, we experience increased pain and our bodies are struggling to heal themselves," said Dr. Hurley. "And as long as the body is misaligned, it is unable to properly send messages through the nervous system, putting us at increased risk for injury, illness and pain. While medication can provide temporary relief, no pill can restore alignment to the body. As long as the body is injured, you will continue to experience pain."

Dr. Hurley frequently recommends complementary therapies, including rehabilitation, acupuncture and massage treatments for enhanced pain relief. She says that this combination of treatments also helps speed internal healing.

"Our massage therapists, for example, can help lengthen your muscles, reducing painful knots and spasms that occur following a traumatic injury," said Dr. Hurley. "Along with rehabilitation exercises, this treatment can help restore a full range of movement and flexibility to your body."

To accommodate its patients, Dr. Hurley's practice has expanded its size to include new staff members, and now has six massage therapists on staff. The wellness center also offers Zumba, Pilates and other fitness classes to both patients and guests.
