Cookie Jar Entertainment's, THE DOODLEBOPS, Launches in the United Kingdom on Playhouse Disney

TORONTO, ONTARIO AND LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(CCNMatthews - April 11, 2006) - Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc. announced today that its preschool live-action series THE DOODLEBOPS is scheduled to make its UK debut on Playhouse Disney on 24 April 2006. The vibrant new music-focused series will air every weekday at 7:30AM, 10:30AM and 4:10PM.

THE DOODLEBOPS (26 x 30') features the fab trio, Deedee, Rooney and Moe as they live out their daily lives as the biggest phenomena in kid's popdom. They're cooler than cool, they're hotter than hot. They're the hip, happening rock 'n rollers. The live-action comedy series invites young viewers to bop around, whilst they practice their songs and dance routines in the coolest rehearsal space imaginable. This colorful and creative group is here to entertain young fans with their unique mixture of music, dance and comedy, all whilst educating preschoolers about important educational issues such as, caring and sharing. Comedic storylines are punctuated by the band's rousing performance of original songs. Each episode culminates with a Doodlebops concert scene.

THE DOODLEBOPS launched on Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney in the U.S. in April 2005 and has since then continuously achieved top-of-the-charts ratings. The new music live-action series has quickly become a rock 'n roll phenomena with the preschool set. Playhouse Disney in the U.S. began airing 26 all-new episodes of THE DOODLEBOPS in March 2006, bringing the commitment for Playhouse Disney in the U.S. to a total of 52 episodes.

THE DOODLEBOPS television series and all areas of licensing and merchandising are represented by Cookie Jar Entertainment. The current blue chip roster of licensees includes Lionsgate Family Entertainment (DVD for season one), Walt Disney Records (CD releases in the U.S.), Universal Music (CD and DVD releases in Canada) and Mattel (master toy licensee).


THE DOODLEBOPS were originally discovered by Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc. Chief Executive Officer Michael Hirsh and Carl Lenox, music director/song writer for the series, who both believe that music and dance is an underdeveloped area that the target market actively and enthusiastically responds to.
