Cooley Earns Perfect Score on Human Rights Campaign 2016 Corporate Equality Index

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwired - November 20, 2015) - The Human Rights Campaign awarded Cooley a perfect score on the 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality.

"We're honored to be recognized for our commitment to fostering a diverse and rewarding workplace where LGBT employees can thrive and grow professionally and personally," said Erich Veitenheimer, partner and co-chair of Cooley's LGBTQ Affinity Group.

"This rating is a testament to Cooley's inclusive culture and we are proud to have achieved it," said Jennifer Lerner, associate and co-chair of Cooley's LGBTQ Affinity Group.

The 2016 CEI rated 1,024 businesses -- spanning nearly every industry. The report evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBT community.

The Human Rights Campaign is America's largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality.
