PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - March 23, 2011) - Cooley LLP announced today that partners Jim Fulton and Gordon Ho have been named as two of California's top 25 clean tech lawyers by legal newspaper The Daily Journal.
Fulton, who co-chairs Cooley's Clean Energy and Technologies practice and is based in the firm's Palo Alto office, serves as outside corporate counsel to a number of high-profile clean technology startups, and advises several of the most notable venture capital investors in the space. He has successfully represented companies applying for government grant and loans, including a major airline manufacturer.
Ho, also based in Palo Alto and co-founder of Cooley's Clean Energy and Technologies practice, has represented companies and venture capital firms in a wide range of significant transactions in the clean technology industry. Ho also serves as outside counsel to a long list of emerging companies focused on areas including solar, water, transportation and energy efficiency. He has also successfully counseled companies seeking government loans and grants that help speed innovations to market.
Ho and Fulton also chair, along with practice co-chair and leading clean energy project finance attorney Tom Amis, the firm's annual Clean Energy and Technology Conference, one of the industry's premier gatherings of leading investors and entrepreneurs.
