A breast imaging subspecialist, Dr. Dell provides a wide range of radiology services for patients of Cooper Clinic. During his time at John Peter Smith (JPS), Dr. Dell oversaw the development and installation of the Breast Center of the JPS Health Center for Women. In 2004, it became the first all-digital, full service diagnostic and surgical facility for breast disease in the Fort Worth area. While at JPS he also served as Chief Medical Officer for RadCare P.A. Prior to JPS he served as medical director of radiology for Hannibal Regional Hospital where he introduced interventional radiology, MRI, advanced breast imaging and teleradiology to the facility. He also worked in radiology private practice while serving in the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard.

Dr. Dell and his team of board-certified diagnostic radiologists review the screening images, providing same-day results and recommendations for each patient.
Dr. Dell completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio in 1983 and became board certified the same year. Dr. Dell earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas. After completing his internship at Methodist and Parkland Hospitals in Dallas, he served as a flight surgeon for the United States Air Force in Korea and South Carolina. While Chief of Aeromedical Services in Charleston, he received the Air Force Humanitarian Service Medal for leading the medical element in the rescue mission for survivors of the Jonestown, Guyana tragedy.
In May 2010, Dr. Dell was elected to Fellowship in the American College of Radiology (ACR). This distinction is limited to 10 percent of the active membership of the ACR. Dr. Dell holds an Executive MBA from Texas Christian University (TCU) and a Master of Science in Health Care Management from the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard School of Public Health. He also earned his Bachelor of Arts in biology from TCU. Dr. Dell is currently a member of the Society of Breast Imaging, Radiological Society of North America and American Roentgen Ray Society (AARS). He has been active in the TCU alumni association having served as past president. He also was a member of the TCU Board of Trustees. He also served as president of the medical staff, member of the Hospital Board of Directors, and Chair and President of the Hannibal Regional Physician Hospital Organization. He was elected director and later president of the New Era Healthcare Foundation.
