STE-THÉRÈSE, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 1, 2016) - On Tuesday, February 9th, Cora Breakfast and Lunch, Canada's breakfast leader, will be proud to celebrate its fifth National Pancake Day! On this day, every customer that visits our restaurants across Canada to enjoy either our pancakes, or our sweet or savoury crêpes can feel good about themselves. Not only will they enjoy an amazing breakfast but also feel good knowing that they are helping children across Canada.

The Cora Foundation will donate $1 from the sale of every plate sold to the Breakfast Club of Canada thus further enabling them to provide nutritious breakfasts to children across Canada.

The Cora Foundation was established in the early part of 1998. The Cora Foundation's mission is to aid children in need. The Foundation supports and works in collaboration with non-profit organizations trying to improve the quality of life for Canadian children. The Foundation is financed through the profits generated by fundraising events as well as through special events created by employees and the owners of the more than 130 franchised restaurants across Canada. Over the last years, the Foundation has been working very closely with the Breakfast Club of Canada to help provide support and food to children across the country.

With over 130 locations across Canada, Cora is now the largest sit-down breakfast operation in Canada and the chain's growth will continue, as many more openings are scheduled for the months to come. Cora Breakfast and Lunch offers customers quality food and service in a warm family atmosphere.

About Breakfast Club of Canada

For 20 years, Breakfast Club of Canada has been nourishing children's potential by making sure as many of them as possible have access to a healthy morning meal before school in an environment that allows their self-esteem to grow and flourish. But the Club is much more than a breakfast program: we take a broader approach that promotes the core values of engagement, enrichment and empowerment, and we team up with communities and local partners to develop solutions adapted to their specific needs. Operating from coast to coast, the Breakfast Club of Canada helps feed more than 167,000 students every day in 1,455 schools. www.breakfastclubcanada.org
