Corda Investment Management Enhances Team With the Addition of Former Major League Baseball Player Terry Puhl

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Jun 4, 2012) - Bonner C. Barnes, President and Chief Investment Officer of Corda Investment Management (, announced today the addition of Terry Puhl as an investment advisor.

Puhl played all or part of 15 seasons in Major League Baseball, mostly for the Houston Astros, but it is his credentials in the securities industry over the last two decades that led Corda to invite Puhl to join the firm's team.

"Terry brings 20 plus years of experience, as well as a strong relationship with a loyal client base," said Barnes. "Most importantly, he is a terrific match for Corda when it comes to putting the client first."

Prior to joining Corda, Puhl was an advisor employed by UBS and Sanders Morris Harris Inc. Puhl said the opportunity to join Barnes and his team was too good to pass up.

"Corda Investment Management is a quality investment firm in Texas," said Puhl. "Few firms have been able to deliver solid returns in the market. That performance has enabled Corda to attract new clients, all while fulfilling its mission of making each of its clients feel like they are the firm's only client."

John Schloegel, Corda's Director of Portfolio Management and Chief Compliance Officer, said the firm is eagerly anticipating the positive impact that Puhl will have on Corda.

"Terry's success in the financial world has come from his focus, which is probably one of the reasons he did so well in professional sports," said Schloegel. "That kind of focus is something that you typically don't find in our industry. That quality will rub off on each of us, leading to even better customer service. His addition will not only make Corda a better team, but it will make all of our clients winners."
