Cordúa Entertainment Presents GIANMARCO in Concert at Hobby Center for the Performing Arts on July 28

Grammy-Winning Peruvian Pop Singer Brings Sizzling Heat to Houston Summer in Cordúa Entertainment's Inaugural Concert

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - July 16, 2007) - This July, Cordúa Entertainment brings international flair to Houston's art scene as Grammy-Winning Peruvian Pop Singer and heartthrob Gianmarco performs live in concert at Downtown Houston's Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Joining "Sweet Charity" and "Go, Diego, Go" on HCPA's summer calendar, Gianmarco will lend a shot of diversity to the center's current theater lineup.

The concert will be held July 28 in the Hobby Center's Sarofim Hall and is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range in price from $20 - $75 and may be purchased by phone at (713) 315-2525 or online at www.thehobbycenter.org. Light concessions, featuring traditional Latin fare provided by Artista Restaurant, will be available for purchase before the show.

Originally from Peru, Gianmarco is widely recognized throughout Hispanic countries for the success of his nine albums and numerous television appearances. In 2004, with the release of his seventh album "Resucitar," Gianmarco received a Grammy in the category of Best Singer-Songwriter Album. His compositions for well-known artists Gloria Estefan (#1 hit "Hoy"), Marc Anthony and Thalia also have earned him international acclaim.

Cordúa has been a long-standing partner of the Hobby Center since the 2002 opening of its Artista Restaurant, adjacent to the Hobby Center's Grand Lobby. The synergy between the two organizations provides restaurant and concert-goers with a complete entertainment experience. The Gianmarco concert will be Cordúa Entertainment's inaugural concert, and the sell-out concert is expected to generate repeat culturally-inspired performances from this group of event experts.

"We view ourselves as more than just purveyors of food," explains Michael Cordúa, owner and executive chef. "We are in the business of entertainment. The two go hand-in-hand. Our joint venture with the Hobby Center is a logical extension of our brand and of our relationship -- offering Houstonians access to cultural arts during the summer when more traditional programming is not available."

The fun continues post-concert with a VIP party at Artista Restaurant inside the Hobby Center. Guests will have the chance to meet Gianmarco in person while relaxing to the rhythm and spectacle of Latin music and folkloric dancers late into the night. Tickets are available for $15 presale or $25 the day of the show. Call (713) 278-4782 to reserve VIP tickets now. The event is cash bar. Attendance is set at a 300-person maximum so early reservations are recommended.
