CoreTrace Extends Its Advanced Threat Protection Leadership Position With Bouncer 6.1

Latest Version of Award-Winning Application Whitelisting Platform Provides Advanced Memory Protection, Selectable FIPS Compliance and Red Hat Linux Coverage

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - Jun 26, 2012) - CoreTrace®, the leading provider of advanced threat protection solutions, announced today a powerful new version of its flagship platform, Bouncer®. New functionality, including advanced memory protection, selectable FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) compliance mode and extended coverage for Red Hat Linux, positions CoreTrace at the forefront of advanced threat protection.

"Most application whitelisting solutions are limited to Windows systems and can be bypassed by memory attacks within approved applications," said Toney Jennings, president and CEO of CoreTrace. "In addition to expanded platform support, Bouncer is now the only solution that combats sophisticated memory attacks like Reflective Memory Injection (RMI) without impacting endpoint performance."

Bouncer prevents the execution of all unauthorized code, protects the system memory to stop attackers from exploiting whitelisted applications and checks the risk-profiles of all applications via cloud-based reputation services. By guaranteeing that only approved applications including updates and memory processes can execute, Bouncer protects customers' intellectual property and systems by preventing the most advanced threats like the well-publicized Stuxnet, Duqu and Flame attacks. Bouncer is also the most operationally scalable application whitelisting solution, including the industry's leading ability to automatically and dynamically update each system's whitelist whenever new applications or upgrades are needed ("Trusted Change").

Key features of Bouncer 6.1 include:

  • Advanced memory protection -- Reflective Memory Injection (RMI) defense, reduced memory utilization.
  • Platform extension -- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 64-bit Server support.
  • FIPS compliance -- Simplified, selectable FIPS option.

Bouncer 6.1 is generally available. Pricing starts at $35 per desktop. Enterprise-scale pricing available upon request.
