Corinne Reid, Montserrat College of Art Illustrator, Wins Top Prize at 2011 Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship Competition

BEVERLY, MA and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Apr 27, 2011) - Montserrat College of Art -- http://www.montserrat.edu -- proudly announces that illustration major Corinne Reid of Salem, MA has won a top prize at the 2011 Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship Competition.

Her award will be presented during a ceremony May 6, 2011 at the Society of Illustrators gallery, 128 63rd Street (between Park and Lexington Avenues), New York, NY 10065. Visit http://www.societyillustrators.org for more details.

According to Montserrat College of Art President Stephen Immerman, Ed. D., "Corinne was awarded this top Society of Illustrators award out of 7,000 student entries from across the nation. Corinne Reid grew up and attended Amesbury, MA elementary schools and graduated from Essex Agricultural and Technical High School where she studied Vet Tech, gaining her strong animal drawing skills. "I think I am still in shock," she said of her first place win in the Society of Illustrators prestigious student competition.
