Cornerstone Appoints Glen McKay to Advisory Board

MOUNT PEARL, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR--(Marketwired - Sept. 9, 2013) - Cornerstone Capital Resources Inc. ("Cornerstone" or "the Company") (TSX VENTURE:CGP)(OTCBB:CTNXF)(FRANKFURT:GWN)(BERLIN:GWN) announces that Glen H. McKay has joined the Company's Advisory Board. Glen's business experience spans many years over which he has led the establishment, development and operation of several privately held companies. In 1997 he co-founded Cornerstone, which began as a private business and went public in 1999, the first new company listed on the then just-created TSXV. He has served Cornerstone in several key executive roles including Vice-Chairman, Chairman, Vice-President, CEO and President and he was a key force in leading its development into an international junior mineral exploration company, active in Canada, Ecuador and Chile and recognized for its business and technical acumen. During 2011 he decided not to stand for re-election to the Board of Cornerstone and so ended his tenure as an officer and Director during May, 2012. Glen has been accumulating shares of CGP since 2005 and continues to hold them all such that today he is a significant shareholder.

John Fleming, Board Chair, said: "We are very pleased that Glen McKay has agreed to join our Advisory Board, which will ensure that management and the Board will continue to benefit from his experience and business acumen."

Brooke Macdonald, President & CEO, said: "During the past year we have made some difficult decisions to cut expenses and abandon non-core properties, with a view to re-focusing the Company on our South America properties, which we believe have the potential to deliver superior returns to our shareholders. We will benefit greatly from Glen's strategic counsel as we seek to advance our projects, either alone or with partner funding."
