Cornerstone Communications Gives Back

Collects CancerCare's Corporate Responsibility Award

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - October 20, 2009) - Cornerstone Communications was honored with the Corporate Responsibility Award during CancerCare's recent Tribute to Our Friends event in New York City which recognizes individuals and organizations dedicated to helping CancerCare deliver on its promise -- to serve anyone who is facing cancer. Ms. Palanci and the entire Cornerstone team are committed to CancerCare and for years have brought their time and talent to the CancerCare for Kids' annual Under the Sea Gala fundraiser. Cornerstone Communication's founder and president, Marsha Palanci, a long time supporter of CancerCare, is also a board member of the organization.

Diane Blum, Executive Director of CancerCare, commented, "We could not fulfill our broad ranges of services if it was not for generous gifts of time, talent and financial support from loyal supporters such as Marsha Palanci and Cornerstone Communications." She continued, "Cornerstone conceived and created a video showing the impact of CancerCare's programs for children that has become an integral part of the gala and contributed to its success."

In addition to supporting the Under the Sea Gala, Cornerstone created an annual fundraiser called Knockin' Em Back for a Good Cause, a bowling tournament where wine and lifestyle media compete to raise money in support of CancerCare for Kids® and vie for the best team shirts. The agency's second annual event held last January raised $3,000 and a third tournament is planned for January 2010.

Marsha Palanci commented, "We are honored to be presented with this award. The agency has always encouraged staff to support meaningful non-profit causes. As a company, we've embraced CancerCare. Working together for such a worthwhile cause has been both rewarding and fun."
