Corporate Update: WordLogic Targets Auto Industry

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 19, 2005) - WordLogic Corporation (OTCBB:WLGC) today announced that the Company believes that technology utilized extensively in the auto industry is in breach of numerous claims in the Company's patented technology.

Because of the size of the target market of approximately US$40 billion a year and growing, the Company is moving cautiously and making strategic decisions as to how and when to approach this enormous market.

"Management believes the Company can expect to realize significant income from patent-related licenses in 2006," commented Frank Evanshen, WordLogic's President and Chief Executive Officer. "It is our intention to seek royalties ranging from 5% - 8% of sales of the infringing technology."

In other corporate news, the Company announced it has completed development of the WordLogic Predictive Keyboard for Desktop Computers v4.2 and has commenced with the Beta release to selected users. It is expected that version v4.2 will be available for commercial release on December 1, 2005.

Response from the initial release of the WordLogic Predictive Keyboard for Desktop Computers v4.1 in March 2005 included industry-specific requests for customized applications from the engineering, geology, accounting, publishing and medical industries. There has also been significant interest from the disabled market and the rehabilitation field as the software is so intuitive and user friendly that users with limited mobility or with limb-related handicaps find the software a great benefit to them.

"Having established working relationships with numerous corporate partners in developing customized software for specific industries has provided our development team insight into what large customers require," commented Evanshen. "This will allow us to penetrate these large markets and produce significant revenues in the future."
