CORRECTION-Electrical Safety Authority: Product Safety Alert-GREENLITE 36-Bulb Seasonal "LED" Light Strings Used Energy Conservation Exchange Program Present Electric Shock and Fire Hazards

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 28, 2006) - This release replaces and corrects the release issued on Friday, November 24, 2006 at 1600 ET. The release was originally issued with an incorrect description of the photo linked within the body of text. The corrected description and release follows:

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 24, 2006) - Ontario's Electrical Safety Authority in cooperation with CSA International is working with Local Distribution Companies (LDC), and Greenlite Lighting Corporation following LDC reports of concerns regarding the GREENLITE - 36-Bulb Seasonal "LED" Light Strings distributed to Utility customer at several exchange events over the past month.

To date there have been no reports of injury or property damage involving this product; however, preliminary assessment of this product has identified concerns in manufacturing that could result in potential electrical shock and fire hazard.

Individuals who participated in the exchange program, which was offered by their Local Distribution Company (Electric Utility) at various locations, should not install or plug in these lights, and should contact their Local Distribution Company or Greenlite Lighting Corporation (1-877-255-0004) for further information.
