CORRECTION FROM SOURCE: Advanced ID Announces Drive Over RFID Reader for Trucks

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 25, 2011) - The following corrects and replaces the release issued at 10:01 am Eastern time on January 25, 2011, for Advanced ID Corporation.  Paragraph 4 of the original release has been deleted.  The complete, corrected release follows.

Advanced ID Corporation (PINK SHEETS:AIDO), a leading developer of RFID solutions for supply chain applications, fleet operations, animal tracking and tire management announces that the company has designed a Drive Over RFID reader system for trucks and buses.

RFID tags in commercial tires have been an emerging market over the last five years because of the value of tire asset management in fleet operations. The third largest cost item of running a truck fleet is tires and proper management of this asset is important. The difficulties of reading all the tires of an eighteen wheel truck and trailer assembly are enormous and have prevented more widespread use of the RFID application. The labor involved in using a hand held reader to manually read every tire, especially the inner tires of a dual wheel setup, is prohibitive.

Advanced ID has partnered with major tire manufacturers to develop a workable reader system at an acceptable price. The result is a reader system where trucks can drive over an RFID reader infrastructure at one or two miles an hour and all 18 wheels are read. With Advanced ID's experience in both tire tags and readers, a solution has been developed that ensures success. The system employs state of the technology RFID readers, multiplex units and up to 32 antennas all housed in protective casings. The information captured by the reader system is then sent to a laptop, server, PDA or other data collection device using our information management system.

According to Dan Finch, AIDO's President, "The concept of a fleet operator being able to drive a truck over a marked area, never leave the truck and never stop the truck represents a major breakthrough for the tire management industry. The major tire manufacturers have indicated that a successful product of this type will speed up the deployment of factories embedding RFID in the tire manufacturing process. Advanced ID has designed the system to provide 100% read capability and affordable."
