CORRECTION FROM SOURCE: Beach Volleyball Operator Devastated By Council Decision

Morrison To Answer Media Questions and Clarify Misconceptions at 3 p.m.

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 1, 2010) - A correction from source is being issued with respect to the release sent out this morning at 10:38 am ET. In the subtitle, it should read "Morrison To Answer Media Questions and Clarify Misconceptions at 3 p.m." instead of 2 p.m.

John Morrison, founder and creator of a thriving recreational beach volleyball community at Ashbridge's Bay beach, was too overcome with emotion to speak to media after City Council voted yesterday to not renew his company's contract for the next five years.

"It's devastating," said Morrison. "My staff and I built this business for 14 years with our hearts and souls and this is gut- wrenching for us."

He said he was frustrated by the number of misconceptions and factual errors that were presented to Councillors, which only made their decision harder to swallow.

Even one media organization reported a payment number this morning that was just 10 per cent of the amount Morrison's company actually paid last year. His company paid the City $230,000 in 2009 and it was reported as only $23,000.

Morrison will meet with media at 3:00 p.m. at Ashbridge's Bay beach (at the west side of the Woodbine Beach bathing station) to discuss everything in full and answer questions.
