VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - March 11, 2015) - This document corrects and replaces the release sent on March 11th, 2015 at 15:30 ET. The corrected document follows:

To kick off the TED2015: Truth and Dare conference, Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital will host a select group of TED attendees and Vancouver's top innovators in an interactive event exploring how sought after technical innovation from one of the world's greenest cities will help mitigate climate change and bring much needed sustainability to the global resource economy. On March 16th, 2015, Chrysalix will showcase more than a dozen early stage companies from Vancouver's startup community with game changing technologies currently under development, including former TED speaker Michel Laberge, CTO of General Fusion.

TED attendees will be invited to engage in several interactive discussions with the scientists and CEOs that are leading these companies, by exploring some of the most significant global challenges in their respective fields, such as renewable energy, industrial innovation, 3D printing, food and water. Vancouver's top thought leaders will indicate how they plan to solve these problems and what the potential global social, political and financial impacts will be if their solutions prove technically and commercially viable.

"We are excited to once again expose the TED community to some of the breakthrough innovation that is happening right here in Vancouver," states Wal van Lierop, Chrysalix President and CEO. "Vancouver's burgeoning innovation ecosystem is on its way to creating many game changing technologies and sustainable innovations for some of the world's most pressing problems. This event will provide a unique opportunity to spotlight our most innovative startups, and for TED attendees to engage with these visionary thought leaders."

Sponsored by the Vancouver Economic Commission and the Business Development Bank of Canada, this event will feature scientists and CEOs from Vancouver companies General Fusion, Spacelist, 1QBit, D-Wave, Aspect Biosystems, Endurance Wind Power, Axine Water Technologies, Enterra, Inventys, Neurio, MineSense, XPCP, Teradici, and Sun Central. The technologies being showcased will include nuclear fusion; carbon capture; renewable wind power; quantum computing; 3D organ printing; wastewater treatment; and genetically engineered organisms.
