CORRECTION FROM SOURCE-Media Advisory: CLC President Hassan Yussuff to Speak in Ottawa on Day of Mourning for Killed and Injured Workers


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 27, 2015) - A correction from source is being issued with respect to the release issued for the Canadian Labour Congress at 4:00 PM ET on April 27. Erin Harrison's email address was incorrect. The complete and corrected release follows.

On Tuesday, April 28, Canadians will observe a National Day of Mourning in memory of workers killed or injured on the job. Canadian Labour Congress President Hassan Yussuff will participate in an event organized by the Ottawa and District Labour Council, being held at noon in Vincent Massey Park.

More than 3,800 Canadians died on the job between 2010 and 2013. In 2013, 241,933 workers were injured badly enough to have to miss work. Official numbers for 2014 aren't yet available.

The Canadian Labour Congress is the national voice of the labour movement, representing 3.3 million Canadian workers.
