OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 13, 2007) - A correction from source is issued in respect to the media advisory published yesterday at 4:17 pm. Please note that the time of the reception has changed. The corrected version follows:

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaelle Jean, Governor General of Canada, will be welcoming the Habitat for Humanity International Board of Directors to Rideau Hall for a reception on Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at 5 p.m. Former governor general the Right Honourable Edward R. Schreyer, currently a member of Habitat's international board, will be among those attending the reception, which will also include the board of directors and senior management of Habitat for Humanity Canada. The international board of directors is participating in a meeting in Ottawa this week.

Habitat for Humanity Canada is a national, non-profit, faith-based organization working towards a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. The mission of the organization is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing, and promoting home ownership as a means of breaking the cycle of poverty. Habitat for Humanity Canada was founded in 1985, consists of over 35 000 volunteers and 71 affiliate organizations from coast to coast, and is a member of Habitat for Humanity International, which spans 93 countries, has built over 225,000 homes, and is now building a new home every 21 minutes.
