The Quartier Vanier Merchants Association (BIA) in collaboration with Ottawa's new startup company CigBins, is pleased to invite you to the launch of its innovative cigarette butt collection and recycling program.

At the event, Mark Kaluski, chair of the QV BIA, will unveil this new pilot program and explain why the BIA has opted to employ CigBins with its unique and user-friendly waste receptacles and service, part and parcel of the BIA's 2014 Safety and Beautification program.

Alongside Mr. Kaluski, will be representatives of CigBins, Mayor Jim Watson, fellow elected officials, Quartier Vanier's merchants and community leaders.

About CigBins

Kathleen Vivienne Kemp, Ajmal Sataar and Adam Tomaszewski, founding partners of CigBins are the winning recipients of the 2013 Launch Some Good new startup competition as well as the winner of the University of Ottawa's Wes Nicol Business Plan Competition in February, 2014. CigBins was also a finalist in the Queens Entrepreneurship Competition in January, 2014. CigBins is one of 50+ businesses participating in Summer Company this summer.
