This document corrects and replaces the press release entitled "Minister Fantino Announces $905,000 Investment for Vaughan's MiMi Food Products Inc." that was sent today at 9:41 a.m. EDT. The complete and corrected version follows.

Today, the Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence and Member of Parliament for Vaughan, on behalf of the Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, announced that MiMi Food Products Inc. will receive an investment of up to $950,000 to boost production capabilities at its Vaughan facility.

MiMi Food Products Inc. produces high-quality products, such as frozen pizza dough balls, pizza crusts, focaccia and flatbreads for the Food Service and Grocery Industries. This investment will allow them to acquire the necessary equipment to produce their food products with greater efficiency and at a larger scale and capacity.

This project will allow the company to meet the needs of a growing niche market for high-quality, artisan dough products. This funding will also allow the company to expand its line of products for the food service industry. These efforts will ultimately help to strengthen the company's competitiveness and its presence in Canada and United States markets.

The repayable contribution is through FedDev Ontario's Investing in Business Growth and Productivity initiative, which is aimed at helping established businesses to expand their operations, invest in productivity improvements and compete globally.
