CORRECTION FROM SOURCE: Romios Announces Closing of First Tranche of Flow-Through Offering and Working Capital Offering

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 6, 2010) - This correction from source replaces and supersedes the press release issued this morning at 8:00 am ET. The exercise price for the FT Warrants should be $0.25. The complete and corrected release follows.

Romios Gold Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RG)(OTCBB:RMIOF)(FRANKFURT:D4R) ("Romios" or the "Company") is please to announced that it has placed 5,066,667 units on a flow-through basis (the "FT Units") priced at $0.15 per FT Unit for gross proceeds of $760,000. Each FT Unit consists of one (1) flow-through common share (the "FT Share") and one-half ( 1/2) of a share purchase warrant (a "FT Warrant"). Each full FT Warrant entitles the holder to acquire a further common share of the Company at a price of $0.25 per common share until the earlier of: (i) the date which is twelve (12) months following the closing; and (ii) in the event that the closing price of the common shares on the TSX Venture Exchange is at least $0.50 for ten (10) consecutive trading days, and the 10th trading day (the "Final Trading Day") is at least four (4) months from the Closing Date, the date which is thirty (30) days from the Final Trading Day (the "Trigger Date"). A cash fee of $49,000 and 466,667 broker warrants to acquire non flow-through common shares at a price of $0.15 per share for 12 months from closing was paid in respect of the closing of the first tranche of the offering. The Company is offering up to a further 2,266,667 FT Units for up to a further $340,000.

In addition, Romios has placed 2,000,000 working capital units (the "WC Units") priced at $0.12 per WC Unit for gross proceeds of $240,000. Each WC Unit consists of one (1) common share (the "WC Share") and one (1) share purchase warrant (a "WC Warrant"). Each WC Warrant entitles the holder to acquire a further common share of the Company at a price of $0.25 per common share until the earlier of: (i) the date which is twelve (12) months following the closing; and (ii) the Trigger Date. A cash fee of $12,600 and 150,000 broker warrants to acquire non flow-through common shares at a price of $0.12 per share for 12 months from closing was paid in respect of the closing of the first tranche of the offering. The Company is offering up to a further 2,166,667 WC Units for up to a further $260,000.

All of the securities referred to herein are legended and restricted from trading until at least November 6, 2010.

An Insider of the Company subscribed for 400,000 FT Units for gross proceeds of $60,000 and insiders may subscribe for up to a further $40,000 of FT Units or WC Units, if available. The insider private placements are exempt from the valuation and minority shareholder approval requirements of Multilateral Instrument 61-101 ("MI61-101") by virtue of the exemptions contain in section 5.5(a) and 5.7(1) (a) of MI 61-101 in that the fair market value of the consideration for the securities of the Company to be issued to insiders does not exceed 25% of its market capitalization.

The funds will be used for exploration on the Company's properties and for working capital.
