CORRECTION FROM SOURCE: Target Hits High Grade Uranium at Sinbad on First Drill Program

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 5, 2007) -

NOT FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES

Correction to the release disseminated this morning, December 5. The bracketed distances were in meters, and should have been in feet.

TARGET EXPLORATION & MINING CORP. (TSX VENTURE:TEM) is pleased to announce results from the company's first drill campaign on the Sinbad Uranium Property, located within the San Rafael Swell in Emery County, 20 miles southwest of Green River, Utah. High grade uranium was intercepted in multiple horizons as shown in the following drill highlights:

- 0.10% eU3O8 over 1.4 feet (194.5 feet - 195.9 feet) and
1.07% eU3O8 over 1.6 feet (203.6 feet - 205.2 feet) in hole SB-07-13 and

- 0.11% eU3O8 over 1.3 feet (174.3 feet to 175.6 feet),
0.12% eU3O8 over 2.6 feet (177.9 feet to 180.5 feet) and
0.28% eU3O8 over 4.9 feet (181.5 feet - 186.4 feet) in hole SB-07-14.

"We are extremely pleased that our drill program has confirmed the high-grade nature of the mineralization at shallow depths" said Stewart Wallis, P.Geo., President of Target. "Future work will include testing mineralization that remains open to the north-northeast and drilling the untested radon anomalies."

The 15 hole (3,300 feet) drill program tested the projected extension of the Chinle Formation mineralized channels north-westward from the historic Sinbad Uranium Mine. The program also tested several radon anomalies identified in a recent radon gas soil survey. Historical drill holes on the Property include intercepts of 4.5 feet grading 0.11% eU3O8 and 3.5 feet of 0.18% eU3O8.

Drilling confirmed that the mineralized horizon is 205 feet or less below surface and that host organic material is widespread. Anomalous uranium is present in 13 of the 15 holes. These zones of anomalous uranium mineralization are present both above and below the target horizon and some of the shallow anomalous zones are believed to be responsible for the radon anomalies tested in this drill program. Several radon anomalies remain to be tested to the northwest of the area of known ore-grade mineralization.

Uranium content is expressed as equivalent U3O8 (eU3O8). Grade and thickness were determined by the industry standard AEC tail factor method from spectral gamma logging using a Mt Sopris 2SNA-1000-S probe. This instrument was calibrated by the Mt Sopris Instrument Company on October 26, 2007 at the US Atomic Energy Commission facility in Grand Junction, Colorado. Wire line logging and data interpretation were done by independent contractor Stratamodel Inc.

Tom Bell, PhD P.G, president of Stratamodel Inc., the independent contractor who supervised the drill program and data interpretation, and a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101, has approved the technical information contained in this news release.
