Correctional Service Canada: Escape from Escorted Temporary Absence


WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwired - Dec. 31, 2015) - On December 31, 2015, at about 2:58 p.m., Stony Mountain Institution, a multi-level security federal institution, was notified that Jacques Larente escaped during a medical escorted temporary absence in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Winnipeg City Police and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

At approximately 4:40p.m. on December 31, 2015, LARENTE was apprehended by police. CSC and Stony Mountain Institution are conducting a joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
