Correctional Service of Canada: Fail to Return from A Work Release Grande Cache Institution


GRANDE CACHE, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 27, 2011) - Dennis HAINES was on a work release from Grande Cache Institution at Jasper National Park. During a routine check, on September 27, 2011, at approximately 0630 hours, inmate Dennis HAINES was discovered missing. The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) contacted the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Dennis HAINES, 38, is described as 5'10" in height and weighs 183 lbs. He has blue eyes and brown hair. He has several tattoos on his neck, upper arm, forearms, chest, and abdomen. Dennis HAINES is currently serving a 10 year, 2 month, 28 day sentence for Robbery (x9); Obstruction of a Police/Peace Officer; Theft Over; Possession of a Weapon Contrary to Prohibition; and Unauthorized Possession in a Motor Vehicle.

CSC will continue to work with the RCMP in an effort to locate the offender as quickly as possible. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Dennis HAINES is asked to contact police.

CSC will review the circumstances surrounding the incident and will take action where necessary.

Grande Cache Institution is a federally operated medium security institution currently accommodating 288 inmates.
