Correctional Service of Canada: Inmate Escapes From Minimum Security Pe Sakastew Centre

HOBBEMA, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 2, 2007) - At approximately 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2007, inmate Daniel Whitemanleft escaped while on an Escorted Temporary Absence from Pe Sakastew Centre. Police were notified and a warrant for the inmate's arrest was issued.

WHITEMANLEFT is 44 years old, serving 4 years for the following offence:

His sentence commenced April 19, 2005. His eligibility dates are as follows:

Statutory Release: 2008-06-22
Warrant Expiry: 2009-04-18

WHITEMANLEFT weighs 180 pounds, and is five feet, nine inches tall. He has a medium complexion with brown eyes and black hair.

The Correctional Service of Canada will be conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the escape.
