Correctional Service of Canada: Death of Inmate at Regional Psychiatric Centre

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - Nov. 26, 2012) - On November 25, 2012, inmate Keith Gordon Routly from the Regional Psychiatric Centre died of natural causes following a lengthy illness in the institutional hospital.

At the time of his death, Mr. Routly, aged 68, was serving a four year, six month sentence for sexual interference and sexual exploitation. His sentence had commenced on June 3, 2009.

Next of kin have been notified.

As in all cases where an individual dies while in custody, the police and coroner have been notified. In addition, the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
