Corrections Corporation of America Announces Date for 2007 Annual Meeting of Stockholders


NASHVILLE, TN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 28, 2007 --Corrections Corporation of America (NYSE: CXW) announced today that it will hold its 2007 Annual Meeting of Stockholders at 10:00 a.m. Central Time on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the Company's corporate headquarters, 10 Burton Hills Boulevard, Nashville, Tennessee. The record date for common stockholders entitled to notice of, and to vote at, the annual meeting has been set for Friday, March 16, 2007. The matters to be considered at the meeting include a new stock incentive plan and an amendment to the Company's charter to increase the number of authorized shares, and are further described in the Company's definitive proxy statement that was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 27, 2007.
