Corticon CEO Mark Allen Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011 Northern California Award Semifinalist

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 13, 2011) - Corticon, a leading provider of business rules management systems (BRMS), today announced that Dr. Mark Allen, CEO of Corticon, has been named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011 Northern California Award semifinalist. According to Ernst & Young LLP, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Allen was selected as a semifinalist from nearly 165 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on June 25, 2011, at The Fairmont San Jose.

Corticon provides software used to automate and improve decision-making processes, such as patient care, mortgage lending, and claims adjudication. Dr. Allen launched the company in 2000 after leaving a career in medicine. Over 450 customers, across a number of industries, now use Corticon to lower operational costs, increase customer satisfaction and generate higher profits.
