Corticon Expands Relationship With Steria to Cover Scandinavia

Success on the Danish Market Enables Leading Business Rules Management Software Company to Increase Footprint Across All Scandinavian Countries

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - February 15, 2011) - Corticon today announced that Steria, a top ten European IT and business services provider, has extended its business relationship with Corticon. A newly signed strategic partnership agreement allows Steria to resell and deliver Corticon's Business Rules Management System (BRMS) throughout the Scandinavian region and is a natural result of Steria's long-term strategic focus on business process management (BPM) and workflow solutions.

"We are proud of the extended partnership agreement with Steria, which is an important and well reputed player in Denmark and the Scandinavian countries," said Dr. Mark Allen, president and CEO of Corticon. "On the Danish, Norwegian and Swedish market, Steria's deep business expertise and extensive delivery capabilities will provide great value to our mutual customers."

Steria will use Corticon BRMS to deliver more agile IT systems. The recently signed agreement is an extension of the two companies' business relationship in the Danish market. Steria clients already use Corticon's BRMS to automate their business processes, while still providing the flexibility to adapt to future changes in regulations and business policy.

"There are rules in everything -- and especially within IT, the rules are many," explained Peter N. Osterbye, CEO of Steria. "As an IT provider, we enter rules into all our customers' applications and solutions, and when some of those rules change over time, customers are obliged to incorporate those changes in all their applications. This can be a time-consuming and costly process. Instead, a rules engine gathers all changes into a single transaction, which means that when you have made a correction once, it occurs everywhere in your systems. In my opinion, Corticon's BRMS is the best software available on the market. It is intuitive and flexible, and functions well in both the .NET and Java/J2EE environments. Further, it requires no specific IT education; if you understand how to use Excel spreadsheets, you will be able to use and build rules with Corticon's technologies."
