Cortland County, N.Y. Chooses Integrated Public Safety Software From New World Systems

TROY, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 3, 2005 -- New World Systems, a leading provider of enterprise-wide software solutions for the public sector, announced Cortland County, N.Y., signed a contract valued at approximately $1 million for its Aegis®/MSP Public Safety software and services.

New World's multi-jurisdictional Aegis/MSP Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management and Mobile Computing solutions will replace the County's three disparate systems, providing a truly integrated software package.

"Communication is key among first responders," said County Administrator Scott Schrader, Cortland County, N.Y. "New World's integrated software will allow our dispatchers to provide officers with critical information in the field prior to arriving at a scene or approaching a vehicle. The integration between CAD and Records will provide our law enforcement with a wealth of information on persons, properties, gun registrations and more to increase officer safety."

Mr. Schrader recommended New World's public safety software to the County, because he licensed and used the software while working for Jefferson County, N.Y.

"New World is responsive to its customers' needs, and the versatility and flexibility of the software will meet any department's requirements, so I knew it would be a good fit for the County," said Schrader.

A proven vendor in the industry, New World's Aegis/MSP solution was developed in-house using proven Microsoft technology, including industry standard Windows 2000 Server and SQL Server 2000 database. The familiar Windows platform will reduce training time for the County, streamline processes, reduce data entry and provide valuable information to dispatchers, officers and detectives.

New to the County, public safety officials will have an integrated mobile computing system, which will allow officers to look up information in Records and write reports in the field to keep them on the streets and protect their community. New World's software will help 50 sworn officers, 15 communications and 10 civilians enhance services to approximately 50,000 citizens.
