Cosentry Among Milwaukee Business Journal's 2015 Best Places to Work

Culture and Leadership Set Company Apart

MILWAUKEE, WI--(Marketwired - Nov 17, 2015) - Cosentry, the leading provider of IT solutions in the Midwest, today announced that the Milwaukee Business Journal has placed the company on its 2015 Best Places to Work list. The company was honored for having the best culture and leadership, where employees feel the most engaged by their jobs and management.

Approximately 100 Milwaukee-area firms were nominated for the awards, and the winners were determined based on scores from an employee survey administered by an independent third party. Each company nominated was ranked according to 10 core areas of engagement: teamwork, retention, alignment with goals, trust with co-workers, individual contribution, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, job satisfaction and benefits. Cosentry rose to the top of this list for its core values that include:

  • A true passion for seeing each client succeed in their respective industry.
  • A mentality where everyone rolls up their sleeves to ensure great execution with no job or task is too big or too small.
  • An open-door "no politics" policy to promote strong, transparent communication at all levels.
  • A confident but humble culture that builds lasting relationships between employees and with clients.

"What sets Cosentry apart, besides our unique product offering, is our people and the core values that drive the organization," said Brad Hokamp, CEO, Cosentry. "Not only do we ensure that we employ the best and brightest people in each of our markets, but in the hiring process we pay added attention to their cultural fit with our organization. This has led to a dynamic, collaborative, and client-focused work environment."

While the Milwaukee office is home to a relatively small contingent of Cosentry's overall workforce, the company's operations span a large portion of the upper Midwest with nine interconnected data centers, and over 220 total employees across five cities.

"We are especially pleased to be recognized just one year after Cosentry acquired the former Red Anvil here in Milwaukee. It's a testament to both the company's executive management and the hard work of the local team, that we've been able to maintain, even improve, an environment that engages employees through that transition," said Chris Gigot, regional vice president.

The Milwaukee Business Journal will publish the scores for all of the winners on December 4, 2015, displaying top-ranked companies in each Best Places to Work category.
