Cotton Tree Attracts Families This Summer With Luxurious Amenities, Private Cottages and Great Low Season Value

This Summer, Families Can Experience the Perfect Combination of Fun, Luxury and Caribbean Culture at the Cayman Islands' Only Luxury Boutique Cottage Hotel

GEORGE TOWN, CAYMAN ISLANDS--(Marketwire - March 28, 2011) - For many families, finding the ideal location for a memorable family vacation means finding a hotel with plenty of outdoor space for kids to play, as well as spacious and luxurious accommodations and opportunities for mom and dad to unwind by the pool. Cotton Tree, the Cayman Islands' only luxury boutique cottage hotel, offers all of that and more this summer making it the ideal choice for a memorable family getaway.

For younger guests, Cotton Tree has sandy beaches perfect for building sand castles and a fresh water pool for swimming. Kids with an adventurous spirit can enjoy the water sports, hiking along Barkers natural beach looking for shells in the tide, biking in Barkers National Park using the bicycles provided with the cottage, and bird-watching. For children with a creative side, on-site art classes can be arranged with Gab Wheaton on Saturdays and Sundays, a professional artist, who has lived in the Cayman Islands for almost 30 years. Wheaton's two-hour classes include water coloring, creating crafts using Thatch Palm leaves, and making coconut boats out of coconut shells. Adults can also partake in art classes taught by professional local artist John Broad, a West Bay artist born in England, educated at the Edinburgh College of Art, and a resident of Grand Cayman. Broad has held many successful shows and is perhaps best known for "Speed Painting," where he paints a scene on site. Under his expert guidance, sketchers will receive instruction in drawing skills and a demonstration of the artist's materials including pencils and water brushes.

For mom and dad, Cotton Tree also offers several ways to unwind and reconnect. Parents can lounge by the pool, enjoy a sunset walk along Cotton Tree's 400-foot stretch of secluded Caribbean Sea coastline or meander through the hotel's lush garden filled with tropical flowers and avocado, guava, mango and cotton trees for which it was named. Parents can also indulge in a spa treatment in Cotton Tree's spa pavilion nestled among the sea grape trees just a few feet away from the ocean or in the privacy of a cottage. Other on-site amenities include an air-conditioned gym with state-of-the-art LifeFitness cardio equipment, including elliptical machines, treadmills and free weights; a Personal Trainer for beach workouts, toning and stretching classes and yoga sessions. Mom and Dad can also take advantage of babysitting services and take advantage of the many restaurants in the area -- one only a few minutes walk up the road.

For evenings in the Cottage Cotton Tree also has a media library with books and music as well as Wii and free Wifi.

Cotton Tree's upscale accommodations include Caymanian-inspired, plantation-style two-bedroom beach cottages, each featuring 1,600 square feet of comfortable, beautifully-decorated living spaces with French doors opening to sea and garden vistas; 42" plasma TVs; iPod docking stations; spa bathrooms with rainforest showers, Jacuzzi tubs and Elemis bath products; 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets; fully-equipped gourmet kitchens with state-of-the-art Kitchen Aid appliances, granite countertops, French press coffee makers, and a selection of gourmet teas and coffees, assorted cereals, orange juice and bottled water, all restocked whenever needed; plasma TVs; and complimentary Wi-Fi and local calls and daily housekeeping excluding Sundays and turn-down services upon request.
