Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. -- CWRM Acquires Iron Mineral Rights for Baja California, Mexico, Baja Pacific No. 4 Mining Lot

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - December 19, 2007) - Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CWRM) announced today that it has completed its initial geological investigations on seven (7) iron mineral deposits in the northwest of Baja California, Mexico and has acquired the rights to designated Baja Pacific mining lot number 4, a mixed magnetite and hematite iron mineral deposit. Outcrop chemical analysis has revealed the iron minerals to be of commercial grade suitable for concentrated fines in sizes 0.15 through 10 millimeters. Diamond bit core drilling and mine development planning are scheduled to begin in late January 2008. CWRM has a backlog of inquires for off-take agreements for the export of iron minerals primarily from Chinese, Japanese and Korean Steel Mills.

Agusan Petroleum & Mining Corp., Manila, is progressing on the development of the Nagsabongan Iron Mineral Deposit on Mindoro Island with expectations of the project coming on line sometime in 2008.

The Joint Venture Agreement between Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. and Quantum International of Houston, Texas has been canceled by mutual agreement and Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. has engaged with other potential financial partners for development of the company's iron mineral holdings. An agreement is expected to be reached by mid January 2008.
