Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. -- CWRM Nominees Apply for Iron Mineral Rights in Baja California, Mexico, for the Baja Pacific No. 8 Mining Lot

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - February 22, 2008) - Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CWRM) announced today that it has completed its initial limited geological investigation of the designated Baja Pacific No. 8 Mining Lot for iron and copper mineral deposits in the northwest of Baja California, Mexico and has applied for the mineral rights to the designated Baja Pacific mining lot number 8, via nominees (Mexican Nationals); the mineral rights will be assigned to one of the company's Mexican subsidiaries upon execution of the financial support agreement with a selected partner to be named within the next few weeks. This deposit is a magnetite and mixed magnetite-hematite iron mineral deposit. Outcrop chemical analysis has revealed the iron minerals to be of commercial grade suitable for concentrated fines in sizes 0.15 through 10 millimeters. 3D color computer aided mapping of the 16 sensor magnetometer survey and diamond bit core drilling and mine development planning are scheduled to begin within 20 days. This vertical iron mineral seam is unique in that it runs in a prefect straight line for 3,000 meters; pictures taken of outcrops from inside the seam may be viewed at the company's website photo gallery Baja Pacific No. 8;

CWRM has a backlog of inquires for off-take agreements for the export of iron minerals primarily from Chinese, Japanese and Korean Steel Mills.
