County Line Energy Corp. Commences Drilling of Gas Well Near Consort, Alberta

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 15, 2006) - COUNTY LINE ENERGY CORP. (PINK SHEETS:CYLC)(FWB:G7Q) -

Harry Bygdnes, President of County Line Energy announces that the company has commenced drilling of the Consort Gas Property in east central Alberta. Bygdnes goes on to restate the news release dated October 24, 2006.

"The company has signed a farm-out agreement with Grizzly Holdings Inc. of Calgary Alberta. County Line will participate with a before payout interest of 42.5% and an after payout interest of 23.37%. An AFE has been provided and it is anticipated that this well will spud in November, depending on drilling rig availability.

The depth of the well will be approximately 1010 meters (approx. 3015 feet) and it will total depth within the Wabamum formation.

The prospect is to drill through the Lower Cretaceous sands which have been identified by geological and seismic interpretation. The zones of interest are all sands of Cretaceous age starting with the Viking Formation and including the Colony sand, a Glauconite Channel sand, and the Dina sand.

The main target of this test well is the third zone which is a true fluvial Glauconite Channel sand which can be up to 20 meters thick. Seismic data shows a strong "bright spot" over this zone which would substantiate the channel theory. If this zone is productive, its rate could exceed 2000 mcf/day.

The Colony sand which is also a channel deposit can be up to 15 meters thick (approx. 50 feet). This zone produces on offsetting acreage with rates up to 2000 mcf/day.

The Dina sand has a lower degree of success but this large regional sand deposit shows a strong seismic "bright spot" indicating a possibility of a light oil deposit.

The land earned on this project is 2 3/4 sections (1760 acres).

Anticipated gas reserves in excess of 3.5 BCF (Billion Cubic Ft)."

The drilling began on December 14, 2006, and is anticipated to continue for 5 - 7 days.
