COURAGE b and Marcus Lemonis Announce Launch of Franchise Opportunities Geared Toward Women Entrepreneurs

Over 18 Retail Boutique Locations Projected to Open Over the Next Few Years

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Feb 2, 2015) - COURAGE b, a family-run, sophisticated women's fashion brand with multiple locations across the U.S., and entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis, announced today the company is launching a national women-owned franchise initiative with the goal of empowering women entrepreneurs to own their own businesses in the fashion industry. The designer women's brand has recently partnered with entrepreneur, Marcus Lemonis, after being featured on his hit CNBC reality series, The Profit, in which he lends his expertise to improve small businesses around the country.

COURAGE b was founded in 2009 by siblings Stephanie Menkin and Nicolas Goureau, and is targeted to providing stylish clothing and accessories to women on the go. Their mother Noemie Goureau, who possesses over 40 years of designer and stylist experience, plays an integral role in designing COURAGE b's unique line of garments and accessories. Noemie has been a retailer of her own with a boutique on Lexington Avenue in New York City and has spent over 20 years catering to the women of Manhattan ranging from celebrities to school teachers and news anchors to working moms. The product base is finely crafted and well-merchandised and the brand offering is clear and focused.

"We are seeking positive, self-starter, motivated women owner-operators that are looking to make their mark as successful entrepreneurs in their communities," said co-founder Stephanie Menkin. "My mother had the courage to express her personal style and business savvy through fashion and I want to give other women the strength and resources to also be a business owner, as my mother provided me."

The COURAGE b franchise application process will require that the franchisee is owned at least 51% by a woman. "I take the responsibility of providing women an opportunity to be a business owner very seriously," said Noemie Goureau, founder. "This has been a passion of mine for many years and I am determined to assist women across the country to find their voice and celebrate their strength and courage with this franchise initiative in markets across the country."

The COURAGE b franchise opportunity allows for the owner-operators to be in business for themselves in facilities that range from 750 to 2,000 square feet in popular shopping destinations and high foot traffic areas.

"Since the reinvention of the COURAGE B brand last fall, we have experienced tremendous same store sales and online growth. Our goal is to continue to attract the right people, implement the perfect process and ensure superior product," commented Marcus Lemonis, partner. "We are laser focused on providing leadership and guidance to each franchisee from solid inventory management, market by market assortment, sharing of best practices, customer acquisition and retention strategies."
