Covario and Nikon Win OMMA Award for Best SEO Campaign

Successful SEO Initiative Helped Nikon Garner Top Google Organic Search Rankings

NEW YORK, NY and SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 28, 2011) - Covario, Inc., the nation's largest independent search marketing agency and software solutions provider, teamed-up with its client Nikon USA to win the coveted 2011 OMMA (Online Media, Marketing and Advertising) award for the best SEO campaign in the Online Advertising Creativity category.

The winning organic search program, which Covario developed and executed, led Nikon to displace its key digital camera rivals in the highly competitive Google search engine rankings for keywords related to digital cameras.

The winning campaign integrated keyword research and content optimization. It encompassed a complete restructuring of the Nikon website using SEO best practices focused on valuable keywords, while improving navigation to other relevant content on the company's website. Ultimately, the effort succeeded in helping Nikon attain top Google rankings at a rate 26 times higher than its primary competitor.
